But i also gave no idea where to find these downloaded files using the file apps on my phone. I uninstalled Edge and reinstalled it. The next time I downloaded a file, I was prompted where to download it. There was a check box to never show this dialog again which was checked by default and I unchecked it. After that I was able to open the downloaded files. It may be a coincidence, but I noticed the Samsung my files app changed at the same time to show me a history of the downloaded files.
